Searching for the next favorite e-book, security queries à la Captcha, ordering something online, entering personal data using a PDF form, or legitimizing oneself at a government agency with the new ID card - who doesn't know these scenarios?

Even blind users are confronted with these situations every day and often find that they turn out to be insurmountable hurdles. We want to take a closer look at why this is the case and how this can be counteracted technically.

However, the presentation of digital content by the screen reader should not be neglected either. This is because it sometimes deviates strikingly from what seems to be obvious to sighted people. And it is not only the page structure that often leads to confusion.
